DAY 1 - CAI BE - SA DEC - CAN THO
Cruise from Phu An Jetty at 10:00 am. Observe the daily life of local residents along the riverside. Enjoy tea and seasonal fruits.
Before arriving at Sa Dec, visit a brick factory where everything is made by hand.
Experience “monkey bridges” and go through the tiny villages. Visit Cao Dai temple which was built in 1926 was a place of worship for those who follow Cao Dai religion. The temple has a unique architectural style and is considered as one of the prominent structures of South – East Asia.
Arrive in Sa Dec and explore the outdoor market. Then visit the ancient house of Huynh Thuy Le. Those who know about the French authoress Marguerite Duras may know her most celebrated novel awarded Goncourt Prize in 1984: “The Lover”. The house has the history of over 130 years, has documents about the Huynh family and pictures recalling the old love story of the authoress.
Lunch is served on boat while cruising towards Can Tho. Explore the beautiful countryside by local rowboat. Come to an ancient house. The owner will welcome you then a romantic and warm dinner will be served in the authentic countryside.
After dinner, return to the boat and continue to cruise Hau River. Overnight on board.
DAY 2 - CAN THO
6:00am Visit the famous Cai Rang Floating Market. It specialized in selling fruits and agricultural products for both the region and the country. Enjoy breakfast on board. Continue to cruise towards Victoria Can Tho and disembark at the hotel’s private jetty.
