If your departure point is Ho Chi Minh City, fortunately, there is more than one way to get in Da Lat for you. The first choice is renting a motorbike at the Saigon’s backpacker area, starting the journey to the mountainous city. The route is quite easy. You will pass by Saigon Bridge to Hanoi Highway and then head towards Vung Tau T-intersection. At this intersection, turn right to Vo Nguyen Giap Road and keep turning right to National Route 1A. Go straight until Dau Day T-intersection; after that, turn to National Route 20. From here, just keep going on National Route 20, and you will hit Da Lat City – Lam Dong Province.  

  • Bus

The more convenient way to get in Da Lat City is by bus. Just come to some following bus stations, buying tickets or booking the tickets in advance, and you are able to feel secure about your journey to the mountainous city.

+ Futa – Phuong Trang Bus line; address: 272 De Tham Street, Pham Ngu Lao Ward, District 1. It is right in the Saigon’s backpacker area. Phone: (84) 1900 6067. The bus fare is about VND210,000/passenger.

+ Thanh Buoi Bus line; address: 266 – 268 Le Hong Phong Street, District 5. Tel: (84) 19006079. The bus fare is about VND180,000/passenger.

  • Plane

By air is supposed to be the best way to travel to Da Lat City. It is not only safe, but also comfortable. You will fly from Tan Son Nhat Airport to Lien Khuong Airport; the airfare is from VND700,000 to VND1,000,000/ticket. Then, just take a taxicab to the city center.
